Gap of some 15 miles is a thing called the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours Niagara Falls, the $ 30 - $ 50 per person, but worthwhile. Niagara is also strong.
Even if you are looking to "rough" alittle bit to try out in a cabin at the KOA in the streets of Lundy's residence (I believe the street), which is actually very nice, has had an exit door and an indoor pool and a tourist region is really quite isolated.

Besides all the other suggestions, please Niagara on the Lake are reluctant to visit. This is an absolutely charming little town about 25 miles from the grave with many shops and beautiful scenery, good restaurants and beautiful parks along the lake. Maybe you want a bed and breakfast in the city for at least one night.
